Event Details

 

On the 22th of June , KAINOTOMIA , partner of Future Target Project, will host in Larissa the first transnational learning activity.

The main focus of the event will be voluntary activities for refugees and the good practices developed in Greece for the support of refugees and their families.

The main objectives will be:

• present deeper information on the basic concepts and existing context related to migration and refugees in Europe.

•  increase knowledge and awareness of the participants on contemporary problems and challenges related to migration, migrants and refugees.

•  provide information on how to use methodologies for analysing the problems of refugees/ migrants and developing targeted solutions.

•  provide information on innovative and project-based solutions on the issue of migration.

•  equip staff of the participant organisations with effective tools and methods for trainings and activities on refugees and migrants.

•  improve organizations’ capacity to work for/with migrants and refugees.

•  provide opportunity on exchanging experience and expertise in the field of migrants and refugees.

   During this event the participants will have the possibility to see how a hot spot works and which are the activities planned to the first accommodation. Also they will see and learn volunteering activities in form of workshops.

   This seminar intends to work on common solutions, advocate for inclusive societies and bring forward specific policies to promote the inclusion of migrants and refugees (especially young people) through a Structured-Dialogue-based methodology. Besides volunteers among citizens , involving refugees and aslyum seekers volunteer will help us to engage with the refugee communities. It will enhance our awareness of other cultures and also can increase the diversity of our organisations. The hosting partner will be used a workshop- based seminar method in this training event: it will involve seminars, visits, acitivities and presentations on the role of volunteers in response the refugee problems.

  The participants will work in groups to complete the task given by trainers which will be followed by group discussions.

  The participants will discuss on the possible solutions for:

– giving a good integration using volunteers

– understanding how the refugees problem can influence national decisions and EU future .

  This training event is based on non-formal learning methodologies including study visits to non-governmental organizations and public institutions working in the field of migration, meetings with representatives of these organizations, project labs in forms of the team works for developing project ideas, networking activities for creating a sound and sustainable cooperation among participants, analysis of the existing best practices by presenting personal experiences and reflections of the participants, interactive sessions, debates and case studies.
