On the 28th and the 29th of March 2019, Jugend- & Kulturprojekt e.V., the coordinator of PRIORITY project, hosted and coordinated in Dresden, Germany, the first transnational project meeting, the kick-off meeting. It took place at the offices of Jugend- & Kulturprojekt e.V. and was coordinated by Myrto-Helena Pertsinidi and Dimitra Zervaki.
Its purpose was
• to communicate the objective of the project and gain the commitment of the team
• to finalize the project management plan and the paperwork, explain the roles and responsibilities of each partner and
• to set the tone, style and vision for the entire project.
In particular, the main objectives of the project, which were the mainstay of the implementation of this European program, are:
• to increase the capacities of organizations working with youth
• to invest in prevention by eliminating the root causes of youth radicalization and act as an integrating force
• to empower young people from disadvantaged groups, such as immigrants and refugees, to be active, to participate democratically and to drive positive change in their communities, using innovative methods and practices derived from the combination of youth work, education, culture mediation and sport.
The target group of the PRIORITY project is consisting of young people and mainly, young people coming from disadvantaged groups, such as immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers.
