Voucher Training Program for Scientists and Freelancers of 600 euros in April/ Allowance of 800 euros in May

The Lifelong Learning Center KAINOTOMIA implements a Vocational Training Voucher addressed to six proffessions. The 600 euros allowance will be partially paid in April, with the first installment of 400 euros to be paid after the 15th of April and the next 200 at the end of the month.

The allocation of the 600-euro remuneration allowance (through the ΕΣΠΑ) to the six professions for April and their inclusion in the special 800-euro allowance for May, was announced by the Labor Minister Yiannis Broutsi,  in support of the Greek economy.

How the allowance will be paid

During a joint press conference on new measures to support the economy for April with Finance Minister Christos Staikouras and Development Minister Adonis Georgiadis, Mr Vroutsis was announced that the 600-euro allowance will be paid in part in April, with the first installment of 400 euros payable after 15 April and the following 200 euros at the end of the month.

Specifically, beneficiaries will be able to submit a special form to participate in their specialized digital skills and knowledge upgrade program next week.

The program will cover 10 specialized certified themes, from which they can choose one of them, which can be completed within a maximum of 10 days.

Upon completion of the program, beneficiaries, if they wish so, will be offered the opportunity to be certified in the field of their choice, which will contribute decisively to enriching and updating their skills to better meet the requirements of a young person and a constantly evolving digital environment.

The May payment

The inclusion of freelancers and self-employed (economists / accountants, engineers, freelance lawyers or paid, physicians, educators and researchers) in the protective provisions applicable to businesses affected by the pandemic impact :

The payment of the special purpose allowance of EUR 800 for 45 days and not one month.

Suspension of payment of insurance and tax liabilities.

However, in case of on time payment, there will be a 25% discount.

In the published Legislative Act , there will be a provision of a 25% reduction in the insurance contributions of employees and prospective employees and self-employed for the month of February-March to those who wish to pay them above their due date. Otherwise, they will be able to pay them normally from the 1st of September 2020.

At the same time, the Board of e-EFKA will shift the date of payment of the insurance contributions of freelancers, self-employed and farmers, debtors by 31/3, on April 10, 2020, thus will give anyone who wishes to pay the insurance contributions a 10 days time frame.
