Summary of the project

The circular economy is a key idea, a paradigm capable of inspiring and guiding the choices of enterprise, organization, and citizens. Today it is possible a new convergence between ecology, economy, new digital technologies, expectations, and social and cultural needs. Green economy and sharing economy, smart cities, and resilient cities. Until now the ways and consequences of energy substances derived from oil and from the irreversible production of material and energy waste are prevalent, the circular economy is proposed as a resilient economic system, designed and managed in order to improve the reproducibility and availability of natural resources.

EUCYCLE is a 24-month  project that intends to promote the exchange and sharing of good practices to transfer knowledge and skills to the operators coming from the staff of each partner organization, and to create the conditions for the dissemination of this new knowledge to other associations, companies, public bodies, citizens and all possible parties interested in the topic. All stakeholders involved will acquire greater awareness of existing obstacles and will have access to educational resources with the aim of raising awareness and accelerating solutions to increase awareness and actions on the issue of economic sustainability.

The project will be made by a consortium consisting of 7 partners, from 5 different countries.

The EUCYCLE project’s objectives are:

  • the exchange of good practices on the theme of the circular economy
  • the activation of an international mobility program in the scope of the partnership
  • the implementation of new training methodologies

The project is addressed to:

  • NGOs, educational institutions, associations, public authorities, and municipalities
  • Educators, professionals in the sector, local communities
  • Citizens and civil society

GoDesk is a coworking and innovative space in Potenza. GoDesk has a shared workspace designed to inspire, reduce the fixed costs of businesses and professionals, promote exchanges between colleagues, customers, to improve their skills and knowledge in order to stimulate innovation.
Designed to manage ideas in a sustainable way, GoDesk is also very active as a business accelerator as it offers a unique ecosystem of resources, inspiration, and collaboration opportunities. Mentorship programs or some of the services for startups, freelancers, and small businesses delivered are based on the WBL’s (Work-Based Learning) educational strategy, such as engaging students working for an employer, job shadowing, sharing business experiences, apprenticeships, internships, and more.

KAINOTOMIA provides business consultancy to companies & supporting services and consulting support services to trainees to facilitate their (re)entrance into the labour market. KAINOTOMIA has participated in several national projects, offering a high degree of expertise regarding training in contemporary fields, matching them with those that have a high demand in the job market, in order to develop trainees’ knowledge, skills, and attitudes towards their integration in the labour market. KAINOTOMIA has been participating in co-funded national projects under the name of “local development plans and entrepreneurship for unemployed based on specific local needs and growth potential”.

The Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Crafts, and Agriculture of Basilicata is a public body established on 22 October 2018 after the merger of the Chambers of Commerce of the two provinces of Basilicata, Potenza. Its tasks are both administrative and promoting local economies, including start-up support services, the digitization of SMEs, the promotion of tourism, the dissemination of work-based learning methodologies. Its staff is approximately 80 people, including staff from its agencies.

FA-Magdeburg GmbH is a private German training company located in Magdeburg, Saxony-Anhalt.
As a continuing education provider, it is committed from the beginning of its establishment to ensure the exchange of practical knowledge and skills according to advanced technological developments and market requirements.
The many years of successful teaching activities for different target groups, especially for VET schools, employees of the state government, and in industry, has helped to make its training centre active in the market, even as a Practice partner in a dual VET system in Germany.
The focus of its activities is the improvement of knowledge and skills in the practical handling of modern technology, the Internet, media development. It has expertise in modern teaching methods like virtual classroom usage, e-learning, and e-book development.
Its has experience in different types of fundraising and project management.
The course contents are aimed at further professional qualification and are divided into basic courses, advanced courses, and workshops. Its staff consists of trainers or specialists with high educational training and have appropriate “Trainer Certificates.”
It has experience in ESF projects and international cooperation.

The University of Bari Aldo Moro (UNIBA) is a public body, founded in October 1924, with about 60,000 students. It offers 113 undergraduate courses and 104 master and specialization courses and 87 doctoral courses. It is one of the largest universities in Italy and the second largest in southern Italy. UNIBA consists of 23 departments covering all research fields, from basic to research and development, from 52 research and teaching centers and 2 schools in “Science and Technology” and “Medicine”. UNIBA also hosts important libraries of historical and scientific value.
