MICROC’VET
Summary of the project
MiCroc’VET is a 24-month Erasmus+ project that aims to develop a common approach to micro-certificates for non-formal vocational education and training (VET) providers. It focuses on defining the use of micro-certificates in non-formal VET contexts, sharing best practices with VET providers across Europe and developing practical guidelines for the adoption of micro-certificate systems. The project aims to increase the recognition of skills acquired through non-formal training and to make participation in short courses more attractive to learners. The project involves partnerships with organisations from several European countries and will lead to the production of research papers, best practice documents and practical guidelines.

PROJECT’S OBJECTIVES
The objectives of the project are:
- To define the use of micro-certificates in non-formal VET contexts
- Το exchange of ideas and practices with different VET providers across Europe to achieve standardisation and homogenisation of procedures
- To propose practical guidelines to support organisations wishing to participate in the micro-certificate scheme
- To promote new systems for accreditation and registration of short non-formal courses

The Partnership
MARKEUT SKILLS SOCIEDAD LIMITADA – coordinator, Spain
In line with the European strategy related to education, MEUS works on the development of new training materials and methodologies adapted to different target and market needs, so improving the integration in the labour market. MEUS is an expert in new learning methods, based on participative and collaborative ways of learning. Their training activities rely on experiential training and learning by doing, intending to keep the learners alert so that they can entertainingly learn new competencies. MEUS largely exploit gamification, developing challenges that trainees need to overcome individually or as teams. Their training activities are proposed on-site or online while collaborating with IT experts for the development of digital solutions that are in line with their philosophy.
KAINOTOMIA & SIA EE – partner, Greece
“KAINOTOMIA” is a Lifelong Learning Centre (K.DI.VI.M) in Greece, which is active in the field of Vocational Education and Training. KAINOTOMIA has implemented more than 60 continuing vocational training programmes for unemployed people, teachers of all levels of education, higher education students, employees/self-employed and vulnerable social groups, for the development of professional opportunities and their promotion and integration into the labour market and society in general, through innovative programmes. “KAINOTOMIA” provides consultancy services to enterprises and support and advisory services to trainees to facilitate their (re)entry into the labour market. “KAINOTOMIA” has participated in several national projects, offering a high degree of expertise in training in modern fields, combining them with those that are in high demand in the labour market to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes of trainees for their integration into the labour market. Furthermore, “KAINOTOMIA” participates in co-funded national programmes called “local development and entrepreneurship projects for unemployed people based on specific local needs and development potential”.
E&D KNOWLEDGE CONSULTING – partner, Portugal
E&D Knowledge Consulting is a consulting and professional training company specialised in a support for development of competencies needed for fostering innovation in business, public and social sector. E&D main activities are focused on providing managers and entrepreneurs the competencies, knowledge and tools needed to successfully implement and execute innovation strategies in their organisations, but also to foster innovation in their environment. The key areas of E&D specialisation include:
1/ support to introduction of innovation operations of organisations – from innovation audits through support to defining and implementing innovation strategies, to developing innovation processes and mechanisms adapted to individual needs of organisations.
2/ ensuring access to proper skills and competencies required for successful innovation, among leaders and managers, as well as employees.
OPENCOM – partner, Italy
OpenCom is a social enterprise, located in Arezzo (Tuscany, Italy), active in non-formal and work-related training, social research and responsibility, integrated reports and sustainability reports, project management and risk management and we are skilled in the elaboration of innovative professional profiles, which respond to the new trends of the labor market and provide youngsters with skills that foster their employability.
They are members of Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development (ASVIS) and are Accredited Training Organisation for Project Management, PRINCE2 method and they train people worldwide.
All their staff members are certified project managers PRINCE2 Foundation level, since project management is a mindset and an organizational culture.
They use Active Learning Methodologies in order to enhance independent learning, lifelong learning, critical and systematic thinking of individuals, supporting their sustainable employability and career development.
