Summary of the project

The digital revolution has transformed the way people play, access information, communicate, and learn. To meet these challenges this project aims at helping VET providers to use technology in new and innovative ways to support SMEs in digital transborder entrepreneurship readiness.

DigiER is a 24-month project that explores possibilities to find new pedagogical ways to tackle 21st-century challenges, promote peer learning across education systems transnationally, and catalyse the development of indispensable transversal competencies i.e. problem solving, collaboration and creativity.

The DigiER project’s key objective is to raise awareness on the effects of digital transborder entrepreneurship among employees of chambers of commerce, regional development agencies, local authorities and centres for entrepreneurship development, but also VET teachers, trainers and mentors.

To achieve the aim, 2 intellectual outputs will be produced:

  • IO1: Guide on Digital transborder Entrepreneurship strategies in the business environment
  • IO2 DigiER mobile application for entrepreneurs

The project is addressed to:

  • employees of chambers of commerce
  • regional development agencies, local authorities, and centres for entrepreneurship development
  • VET teachers, trainers, and mentors
  • SMEs, entrepreneurs, and start uppers

DigiER Outputs

IO1:

The goal of this IO is to define the framework and content for the development of innovative and comprehensive digital transborder entrepreneurship strategies in the business environment. The Guide will take the form of case studies by professionals already demonstrating a sustainable approach in their business activities and straightforward methodology tackling efficient digital transborder entrepreneurship in a guide. As a whole, it will be the fundamental material for the implementation of the digital crash course. The tangible results of output one will be a DigiER methodological guide and a DigiER digital crash course.

IO2:

DigiER mobile app will ensure personalized training pathways by initially testing the knowledge and awareness of digital transborder entrepreneurship among entrepreneurs and startupers. The DigiER mobile application will also elaborate a personalised strategy for the entrepreneurs and startupers to be able to address the weak points and empower its approach to digital transborder entrepreneurship processes.
The DigiER mobile application mobile app will contain:
– Self-assessment panel concerning digital transborder entrepreneurship processes in SMEs
– Training pathway on 3 levels of advancement on the results of self-assessment
– Digital transborder strategy wizard.
The application will be available on smartphones and support the most popular systems: Android and iOS. Installation of the application will be free of charge for the users but an internet connection will be necessary to use it.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Katowice is a non-governmental institution with more than 500 members which are mostly SME companies. The Chamber focuses on the support of SMEs in the Silesian region. It legalizes the documents, provides workshops and seminars for companies, and also legal support. Moreover, they also promote internationalization activities among the members. It was founded by 103 people on 13th February 1990 and registered on 21st March 1990. It’s an organization of economic self-government, which associates with business entities. The Chamber promotes international cooperation between entrepreneurs, local government officials, and science representatives in many ways.

KAINOTOMIA provides business consultancy to companies & supporting services and consulting support services to trainees to facilitate their (re)entrance into the labour market. KAINOTOMIA has participated in several national projects, offering a high degree of expertise regarding training in contemporary fields, matching them with those that have a high demand in the job market, in order to develop trainees’ knowledge, skills, and attitudes towards their integration in the labour market. KAINOTOMIA has been participating in co-funded national projects under the name of “local development plans and entrepreneurship for unemployed based on specific local needs and growth potential”.

The Centre for Education and Entrepreneurship Support (CWEP) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization founded on 30.06.2004 by a group of entrepreneurs, teachers, social activists, and IT specialists from Rzeszow, Poland. The CWEP association works in the field of youth, cooperates with businesses, universities, schools, enterprises, and educational institutions operating as the associated partners. CWEP has experience in organising complex support for individuals at different stages of their lives, from childhood to elder age. It promotes entrepreneurship among young people at school, as well as to those who already run their businesses.
