Certificate of knowledge of rational use of pesticides

According to article 20, paragraphs 2 and 4 of Law 4036/2012 (A’8), as of November 26, 2013, the sale of pesticides approved for professional use shall be limited to persons holding the certificate referred to in paragraph 2 of article 19.
From the obligation above, are exempted holders in Agricultural Higher Education Institution (HEI) or degree of Crop Production Department or the Agricultural Administration Department Nourishment School of Technology Agriculture and Greenhouse Crops Department of Floriculture of the Faculty of Agriculture of the Technological Educational Institutes (TEI) or an equivalent degree or equivalent diploma specialties of EU Member States or non-EU schools with a certificate of rational use of pesticides of indefinite duration.
Certificates of knowledge of rational use of pesticides are issued through an electronic application by the Directorate of Crop Protection of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food (SEA), following a successful examination of the interested persons in special examination centers, which is conducted through a database. which contains multiple choice questions, of which only one is the correct choice.

Interested parties are invited to respond to forty (40) queries of the database within a specified time, randomly selected from the database maintained by the SAR.

The certificate must require at least twenty (20) questions to be answered correctly. Upon completion of the examination, interested parties are automatically informed by success or failure rate of whether or not to obtain the certificate. The certificate is automatically printed the same day.

Validity of the certificate
The Certificate of Rational Use of Pesticides is valid for 5 years and starts on the date of successful completion of the tests.

Examination Fee (Ministry Fee)
The examination fee (Fee of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food) for the Certificate of Rational Use of Pesticides was set at twenty-five (25 €).
