First transnational partner meeting for the TEX4.0 project in Dresden, Germany

Did you know that the textile sector employs over 1.5 million people in Europe alone? However, despite the large workforce, technological developments in the sector have resulted in a shortage of skilled personnel. In response to this challenge, the European TEX4.0 project partnership met in Dresden, Germany, to define the way forward for its implementation. The TEX4.0 project aims to equip the existing workforce in the textile sector with the necessary skills to address the digital knowledge gap and enhance their weldability prospects.

The textile sector, with its rich history and cultural significance, is on the threshold of a transformation through technological innovation. The TEX4.0 project represents a concerted effort to respond to these changes and equip workers with the tools they need to thrive in an increasingly digital landscape.
