EKS Outputs

The simulation game will focus on improvement of skills through offering 5 scenarios that will allow the users to develop the following skills: complex problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, people management and coordination with others. Each scenario will be focused on extending particular skill. In addition to fulfilling various tasks in the game, there will be theory provided in attractive, ‘hidden’ way so in case the user doesn’t know something, s/he will be able to find it. The pieces of information won’t be available always and at the same time and for some there will be different
prerequisites which will make the game more interesting. The game will include different levels of complexity. It will present the user a number of scenario-based flows that will allow to interact with different situations by making appropriate choices. The users will have to face different situation that require the integrated use of the studied and identified skills. The simulation game will utilise a hierarchical, decision-based flow that user will be able to follow. Every single decision taken by the user will affect the further advancement of next actions, storing all preceding steps. It is expected that the internal mechanism of the game will not have one correct set of virtual activities that should be taken. The game will provide meaningful feedback based on all preceding steps taken by the user. The game will be developed in a form of web service, possibly taking advantage of gaming frameworks available at the time of executing this project. A strong impact will be put on game’s playability, so that it will not only help in the learning process and knowledge acquisition, but also be entertaining to some extent. It will also be optimized for mobile devices (tablets), in order to have a greater diffusion.

Didactic handbook aim will be to support participants in using the game during their entrepreneurship learning. It will include the description of the game rules, with scoring and useful tips together with prepared in attractive way, explanations of the skills to be acquired and why they are important. It will have attractive and appealing look, making the users want to read it. It will describe possible ways of using the game directly by the NEETs but will also provide recommendations and tips for the educators on how the game could be used for teaching (e.g. in a group settings). The handbook will be in electronic form, available for downloading from the project website and directly from the game interface.
